Who I am

I am Danique, and Atelier Danique is my small studio in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. I am responsible for the information you share with me. Questions are always welcome: hello@atelierdanique.com or WhatsApp +31 6 17862359.

What I collect and why

When you ask for a painting, I collect your name, your email or phone number, your photo, your answers about the place and the moment, any extra notes and the size you would like. Later I also need your delivery address and the details to invoice you. I use it to reply, agree the details, paint your artwork and send it to you.

When you just visit the website, the server sees your IP address and your browser, like every website. Your language choice is remembered in a small cookie in your own browser. When you send the form, your IP address is kept for about an hour so I can spot misuse. I use no advertising cookies or trackers.

To see how people find the website, I count page visits anonymously: which page, the language, the country and where the visit came from (for example Instagram or Google). No cookies, no IP address and nothing that identifies you is stored for this.

Your photos and stories

Your photo may show people, sometimes children, and the story behind it may be personal. I use it only to make your painting, and I never share your photo, your story or the finished painting without asking you first. If you say yes, you can change your mind at any time and I will take it down.

Who helps me

A few services help me run the website and the studio:

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Resend and my email provider bring your request to me, with your photo.
• WhatsApp (Meta) carries our messages if you write to me there.
• Google Fonts delivers the typefaces, so Google sees your IP address.
• Instagram (Meta) delivers the pictures in the Instagram section.
• Vimeo or YouTube play the film on the home page, if there is one.
• A postal or courier service gets your name and address to deliver your painting.

Some of them are outside the European Union, for example in the United States, under the safeguards European law requires. I never sell your information or share it for advertising.

How long I keep it

Your photo, answers and messages stay as long as they are useful for your painting and for questions afterwards, and you can ask me to delete them at any time. Invoices are kept for 7 years, because Dutch tax law asks for that.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, and to correct it, delete it, limit it or give you a copy. You can object to how I use it and withdraw your consent whenever you like. Just email me and I will answer within a month. If you are not happy, please tell me first, or complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
